The Office of Research and Innovation and Office of Postdoctoral Affairs in partnership with LAUNCH: the Center for New Venture is launching a new Innovation Postdoc Fellowship track within the larger Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship program.
Innovation Fellowships are intended for postdoctoral researchers who are highly motivated to extend the impact of their research through new technology commercialization activities. Successful fellows will have a high level of interest in learning more about advancing technologies from the lab to market and are open to considering potential entrepreneurial career opportunities involving the formation of a new technology startup related to their research.
Virginia Tech faculty members wishing to host a fellow as part of the program should carefully read the information for interested faculty members as well as proposal eligibility and submission guidelines when working with a prospective fellow on a joint proposal.
All tracks (the Innovation, Research Frontiers, and Cybersecurity) proposals have an upcoming deadline of Sept. 15, with another following on Nov. 15.
