Six teams will compete for more than $75,000 in startup funding and in-kind services during the 26th annual Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition at the University at Buffalo on April 16.
The final round of the Panasci TEC will take place at the Center for the Arts on UB’s North Campus in Amherst, where teams will deliver five-minute pitches in a format similar to 43North. Judges will evaluate each venture based on feasibility, market potential, demonstrated need and funding strategy.
The first-place team will receive $25,000 in seed funding along with up to $40,000 in in-kind services. A second-place prize of $10,000 will also be awarded. New this year, a $5,000 innovation prize sponsored by the university’s Office of Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships will recognize outstanding technological integration.
