The annual summit for research institution gap fund and accelerator programs, including proof of concept programs, startup accelerators, and university venture funds

The Story

The University of Rochester-Medical Center, through its tech transfer and commercialization objectives, has a comprehensive strategy to both educate and engage key faculty, leadership, and stakeholders on campus. The CLASP elective course for faculty is  great example of one initiative.

An important distinction is their incorporation of leaders from other institutions into the process, like John Hopkins University, the University of Michigan, and the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. This outside injection of leading practices and experiences presented through objective perspectives is a powerful communication tactic.
