Award & Investment Overview
The MSU Research Foundation has announced the five startups selected for its 2026 Conquer Summer Accelerator, a 10-week commercialization program delivered in partnership with the Lansing Regional SmartZone.
The cohort includes AbleVu, GAIA Predictive, Infratico, Oprones, and OXR, representing innovations in artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure monitoring, autonomous systems, and extended reality.
Each company receives a $20,000 initial investment from Red Cedar Ventures, mentorship from more than 40 experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts, coworking space, structured commercialization programming, and ongoing access to the MSU Research Foundation’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Upon completion, each startup joins the Red Cedar Ventures portfolio, creating opportunities for continued coaching and follow-on investment.

The Conquer Summer Accelerator represents an integrated university commercialization model that combines accelerator programming, early-stage investment, mentorship, and long-term venture support.
Unlike many startup accelerators that conclude with a demo day, Conquer provides companies with a direct pathway into the Red Cedar Ventures portfolio, allowing founders to continue receiving commercialization guidance and access to future investment opportunities.
From a Mind the GAP perspective, the program addresses one of the most challenging phases of commercialization by supporting startups that have progressed beyond proof of concept and minimum viable product development but require structured support to achieve product-market fit, customer growth, and investment readiness.
The collaboration among the MSU Research Foundation, Lansing Regional SmartZone, and Red Cedar Ventures illustrates how university-affiliated commercialization organizations can build coordinated innovation ecosystems that support founders from early validation through venture growth.
