The Florida Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research (the Florida Institute) announced today that it has finalized a funding agreement with Dominion Aesthetic Technologies, an innovative company focused on commercializing medical devices in the aesthetics field. The company has licensed technology from the University of Central Florida. The Florida Institute supports new company development and expansion based on publicly-funded research, and bridges early funding gaps for companies licensing technology out of Florida-based universities and research institutions.
Dominion Aesthetic Technologies is led by a team of industry experts whose mission is to advance the field of aesthetic medical devices by delivering products that are convenient and easy to use for clinicians and safe for patients.
“We are committed to bringing to market the most comprehensive platform for non-invasive aesthetic procedures,” said Janet Campbell, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dominion Aesthetic Technologies. “With funding from the Florida Institute, we will expand our Florida presence, advance prototype development, initiate additional studies, and prepare for commercial release.”
