Emerging technologies produced at UW–Madison will benefit from a $300,000 matching grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and an on-campus award program administered by UW–Discovery Madison’s to Product (D2P) (WEDC).
D2P’s annual State Economic Engagement and Development (SEED) initiative will support eight startups formed by UW–Madison researchers pursue innovative research and commercialization. WEDC’s contribution comes from its Capital Catalyst program, which provides additional seed monies to accelerate in-state innovation and attract additional investment in Wisconsin’s growing businesses.
