Binghamton University and the Koffman Incubator are launching the empowerST Battery Fellowship, a first-of-its-kind R&D and accelerator program for outstanding entrepreneurially-minded scientists to translate their energy storage innovations into ground-breaking market-ready technologies.
Over the course of the two-year program, the fellows will receive:
- Competitive salary;
- Up to $100,000 total support for their R&D efforts;
- Technical mentorship under the direction of world-renowned battery research leaders, including the Nobel laureate inventor of the Li-ion battery M. Stanley Whittingham;
- Entrepreneurship training and startup support.
