The Office of the Vice President for Research announces the Special Summer Seed Grant program awardees for summer 2014. This seed grant program was a one-time funding opportunity established to promote research and scholarship at the highest quality. A total of $100,000 was divided evenly among the 20 recipients.
Funding awards will support faculty experience in identifying and submitting applications to potential funding sources, to provide preliminary data to support applications for extramural funding, and to enhance scholarly and creative activities. The competition was extremely close, and all who submitted proposals demonstrated that UTSA was well on its way toward becoming a Tier One institution.
