Presenting the budget for fiscal 2014-15, Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat said that the government would set up a Rs 500 million fund to bankroll promising start-ups.

DesignMedix, Inc., a biotech startup with ties to Portland State University, has closed a second round of angel funding from investors in the Northwest.
