The Flinn Foundation’s Seed Grants to Promote Translational Research support multidisciplinary teams developing innovative solutions to significant clinical needs, including precision medicine, diagnostics, devices, therapeutics, and health-care delivery. Funded projects are expected to demonstrate strong potential to advance laboratory discoveries into impactful products or services benefiting patients in Arizona and beyond.
Each funded team receives $100,000 over 18 months, along with structured programmatic support such as quarterly cohort meetings, targeted workshops, expert connections across research and industry, and participation in Arizona’s Bioscience Roadmap Steering Committee. At the end of the grant term, the most promising projects may be considered for up to $100,000 in follow-on funding for an additional year.
Since launching in 2013, the program has invested approximately $9.5 million across more than 80 projects, helping accelerate the development of solutions that address urgent health-care challenges.
